۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
