۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Are we not then to die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
