Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
