Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. 94 Then We gave them good in the place of evil until they became many and said: Distress and happiness did indeed befall our fathers. Then We took them by surprise while they did not perceive. 95 And if the people of the townships had believed and kept from evil, surely We should have opened for them blessings from the sky and from the earth. But (unto every messenger) they gave the lie, and so We seized them on account of what they used to earn. 96 Do the people of the dwellings not fear that Our wrath may come upon them at night while they are asleep? 97 Do the people of the cities feel secure Our might shall not come upon them in daylight while they are playing? 98 What! do they then feel secure from Allah's plan? But none feels secure from Allah's plan except the people who shall perish. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
