3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
