And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
