And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
