THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
