Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
