Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
