Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 and we glorify God". 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
