Hizb 46
< random >
AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
