Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
