Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
