S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember! 1 Nay, but the unbelievers are steeped in arrogance and stubborn defiance. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing. 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Do they have the stores of the mercy of your Lord, the mighty and munificent? 9 Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access. 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
