(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say, "It is great news 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
