Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
