Say thou: O Mine bondmen who believe! fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good: and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the patient shall be paid in full their hire without reckoning. 10 Say, "I have been commanded to serve God, dedicating my worship entirely to Him. 11 “And I am commanded that I be the first to submit.” 12 Say, “Were I to disobey my Lord, I too would fear the punishment of the great Day (of Resurrection).” 13 Say: “Allah alone shall I serve, consecrating my devotion to Him. 14 as for yourselves, worship anything you please besides Him!" Say, "The real losers will be those who lose themselves and all their kith and kin on the Day of Resurrection. That is the [most] obvious loss. 15 They will have sheets of fire above them and sheets of fire beneath them." That is how God puts fear into the hearts of His servants. Fear me, then, My servants. 16 There is good news for those who shun the worship of false deities and turn to God, so give good news to My servants, 17 who listen [closely] to all that is said, and follow the best of it: [for] it is they whom God has graced with His guidance, and it is they who are [truly] endowed with insight! 18 How can you rescue the one who is destined to suffer the torment? 19 But (as for) those who are careful of (their duty to) their Lord, they shall have high places, above them higher places, built (for them), beneath which flow rivers; (this is) the promise of Allah: Allah will not fail in (His) promise. 20 Beholdest thou not that Allah sendeth down water from the heaven, and causeth it to enter springs in the earth, and thereafter produceth thereby corn various coloured. Thereafter it wirhereth, and thou beholdest it turn yellow; then He maketh it chaff. Verily herein is an admonition for men of understanding. 21
