Hast thou not seen those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah, how they are turned away? - 69 Those who deny the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know, 70 When the fetters and chains are on their necks, and they dragged 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 It will then be asked of them: 'Where are those whom you associated, 73 Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray. 74 That is because ye had been exulting in the earth without right, and because ye had been strutting. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 So be patient, (O Prophet). Surely Allah's promise is true. Whether We show them a part of the woeful consequences against which We warn them (while you are still in their midst) or We recall you (from this world) before that, eventually it is to Us that they shall be brought back. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
