Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 good tidings to bear, and warning, but most of them have turned away, and do not give ear. 4 And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working. 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
