Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
