54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ha Mim! 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
