Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By this luminous Book. 2 verily We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you may understand. 3 And surely it is in the original of the Book with Us, truly elevated, full of wisdom. 4 Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? 5 And how many a prophet have We sent among the ancients. 6 Yet never did a Prophet come to them but they mocked him. 7 So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old. 8 If you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?", they will surely answer, "The Almighty, the All Knowing One has created them." 9 (It is) He who made the earth to be a cradle for you and made in it ways for you, in order that you are guided. 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on, 12 That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it. 13 And lo! unto our Lord we surely are returning. 14 The pagans have considered some of His servants as His children. There is no doubt that the human being is simply ungrateful. 15
