۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He was no more than a servant (of Ours), one upon whom We bestowed Our favours and whom We made an example (of Our infinite power) for the Children of Israel. 59 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 Let not Satan misdirect you. He is your open enemy. 62 And when Eisa came to them with clear signs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to explain to you some of the matters regarding which you dispute; therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not? 66 Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah). 67
