۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 And indeed Eisa is a sign* of the Last Day, therefore do not ever doubt in the Last Day, and obey Me**; this is the Straight Path. (* The advent of Prophet Eisa to earth for the second time. ** By obeying the Noble Messenger.) 61 And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." 64 Then the factions fell apart among themselves. So woe to the wrong-doers from the chastisement of a grievous Day. 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous. 67
