۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 NOW WHEN Jesus came [to his people] with all evidence of the truth, he said: "I have now come unto you with wisdom, and to make clear unto you some of that on which you are at variance: hence, be conscious of God, and pay heed unto me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah). 67
