۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 saying, "Are our gods better or him?" -- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people -- 58 Jesus was a servant of Ours to whom We had granted favors and whom We made as an example for the Israelites. 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But the denominations from among them differed [and separated], so woe to those who have wronged from the punishment of a painful Day. 65 Are they awaiting anything other than the Last Hour that it should suddenly come upon them without their even perceiving it? 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
