And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 [inflicted on them] by Pharaoh, seeing that he was truly outstanding among those who waste their own selves; 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
