Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Food of the sinner. 44 Like the dregs of all! It shall seethe in the bellies: 45 like the boiling of burning despair. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 "Taste you (this)! Verily, you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous! 49 This is the torment that you persistently doubted". 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 So wait thou [for what the future will bring]: behold, they, too, are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
