And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
