The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 That "Go to Firaun - he has rebelled." 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 And assembled and proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
