And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
