Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
