Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
