Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
