Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
