Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
