Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
