And heaven -- We built it with might, and We extend it wide. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten. 59 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). 60
