(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?" 30 Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait. 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
