Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 [Or do they deny the existence of God?] Have they themselves been created without anything [that might have caused their creation]? or were they, perchance, their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
