Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
