Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad) for thy Lord's decree, for surely thou art in Our sight; and hymn the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
