The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
