Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?" 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are over-burdened by debt? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
