Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
