Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
