Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 Thamud, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
