Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
