(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
